Press Release Writing Tips
- Try to include your primary keyword in the title of your press release.
- Try to keep your press release between 300 and 1,000 words long.
- Write your press release in the third person. Never use “I” or “we”.
- Remember, your press release should not read as an ad. It should read as a news story.
- At some point in the release, you should use a paragraph to include a quote from someone at the company . For example, if you had fifteen to twenty seconds on television or radio to say something about a point or points in the release, what would you say?
- Be sure to proofread your press release. Check for typos, spelling errors and grammatical errors.
